Nourish Your Soul Retreat

A spirited journey to wholeness.
April 7th - 10th, 2022
Welcome

We’re excited to have you join us on a magical journey that will draw you more fully into connection and alignment with your most empowered self, nourishing your soul and nurturing your body.

We will gather at the ocean’s edge for three powerful days and nights filled with meditation, yoga, guided shamanic journeys, fire ceremonies, and plenty of fun. You’ll have “me” time and “us” time - opportunities for solitude and meaningful community interactions while we enjoy the incredible rustic beauty of the Oregon coast.

Each day we will gather for morning meditation and invigorating (suitable for all levels) yoga. Following breakfast, we will feed our souls and spirits with activities designed to explore your past and present, and dream intentionally into the most amazing future you can imagine!

Afternoons will include downtime to nourish yourself with whatever appeals to you. Hiking, exploring the quaint seaside town of Manzanita, enjoying the indoor pool, visiting with friends, relaxing in the hot tub, reading a great book, and walking on the beach are all options in this lovely setting. Bridget and Katrina will also offer private sessions for Shamanic Energetic Coaching and Intuitive Nutrition Sessions. (Space is limited for private sessions, so let us know right away if you would like to claim a time). Late afternoon, we will gather for restorative yoga and meditation, followed by dinner. Before heading to bed, we will circle around the fire to reflect and enjoy.

Manzanita is an oceanside village tucked in between three distinctive landmarks: the vast Pacific Ocean, the large coastal headland at Neahkahnie Mountain, and the sheltered Nehalem Bay. It is a quick 2 hour  drive from the Portland area.

Manzanita is perfectly suited for relaxing and taking in the stunning beauty of its seven wonderful miles of sandy beach, but also for adventure with old growth forests for hiking, horseback riding, SUPing, and more.

A lovely little town by the sea, a stroll through downtown offers cute cafes, art galleries, gifts shops, and a wonderful spa.

This land was occupied by the indigenous Tillamook people for over 12,000 years, which later became a part of the confederated tribes of Grande Ronde and Siletz Indians.

The Manzanita area is a perfect area to explore wild, untamed beauty, while nourishing the spirit and deepening connection with the soul.

the Food

All meals will be included in the retreat. Breakfast and lunch will be served to the group buffet style, while lunch will be a collection of salads and snacks available to you at your leisure.

Our food will be prepared by Chef Kerry Jones, who has been cooking scrumptious, nutrient-dense meals for clients all over the country for over a decade. Sourcing from local farms when possible, Chef Kerry focuses on sustainably raised animal protein and colorful plant forward meals that deeply satisfy. She will prepare buffet style breakfasts and dinners for the group. For lunch, prepared salads and snacks will be available for you or you can take advantage of the delicious restaurants in Manzanita.

for Accommodation

We have two modern, luxury homes that are side by side with nothing but the sand between them and the beach. Sweeping ocean views from both homes create many beautiful places to cozy up with a good book or friend. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a soak in the hot tub, a movie in the theater room, and star gazing around the fire pit. One house even offers an indoor swimming pool and sauna!

Each private bedroom has a king bed and ocean view. Some have private bathrooms. A discount is offered for rooms that have shared bathrooms. Dorm style rooms with twin beds are also an option and perfect for those coming with a group of friends or for those seeking a reduced price.

Accommodations will be first come first serve. Please note that the price of lodging is less when sharing with another person, which is why we recommend coming with a partner or friend.

the Questions

Where is the Nourish Your Soul Retreat?

In Manzanita, Oregon, a small coastal town that is about 20 minutes south of the popular Cannon Beach and about 2 hours from Portland, Oregon.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Yes. Please let us know your restrictions in advance and we will do our best. We will let you know if we are unable to for some reason.

Do I need to bring my own food?

All meals will be provided. If you snack between meals or will want something before morning practice, you may want to bring some items with you. There will be access to a full kitchen.

May I pick my roommate?

Yes, please let us know your preferred roommate on your retreat registration form.

What are the bedrooms like?

Each private room has a King bed, with some having private bathrooms and others shared. There is a discount for sharing a bathroom. Both are first come, first served. Dorm style twins are available, which are all in one room.

What should I pack for the retreat?

Bring a yoga mat and blanket, plus any props you like to use. Pack many layers of clothing, as the Oregon coast can have a range of temperatures and weather patterns. You will want comfy clothes that don’t restrict movement for yoga. No need to bring anything fancy. No need for make-up or hair products either. You will want to bring a light jacket/rain jacket depending on the weather. You may want to bring a swimsuit for an evening soak in the hot tub. If you plan on hiking you will also want to pack comfortable hiking shoes/boots that you have already broken in. It is highly encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle, as well.

If I am new to yoga, can I do this retreat?

This yoga taught will be for all levels of yoga. The morning class will be a bit more vigorous, but modifications will be given to accommodate all levels and abilities.

What type of yoga will be taught?

Expect a Hatha class that integrates some vinyasa and a lot of breath work, mindful movement, and spirit brightening.

Is anything not allowed at the retreat?

Hard alcohol and beer, junk food, technology. Please refrain from overuse of technology. This retreat is designed to let you completely unplug from the outside world. This is an opportunity to be free from that aspect of life for a couple of days. Take advantage of it. That being said, we understand that phones are often used for photo taking. If that is the case, please make sure it is in airplane mode. We want to protect the mindful space of those around you, in addition to your own.

Is there Wifi/ Cell Service?

Yes.

When can I schedule a Shamanic Energy Session, Intuitive Nutrition Session, and/or Yoga Private?

Please mark on your registration form if you would like to schedule a private session. If there are spaces available, you may also be able sign-up in person at the retreat. We will provide more information regarding privates sessions as the time draws nearer.

How will address COVID safety?

To honor the shared indoor aspect of this event, and out of respect for the community we are visiting, we are requesting that all attendees be vaccinated.

the Travel

All air travel should be to Portland International Airport (PDX). Driving time is approximately 2 hours from the airport. Exact directions to the houses will be given closer to the retreat. We will also do our best to help coordinate carpool, if desired.
