Into The Wild

A retreat to stir the soul and connect with your own wild truth.

October 6-8, 2023

in the beautiful Columbia Gorge

Welcome

This magical weekend retreat will connect you in a meaningful way with the wild essence of nature, drawing you more deeply into connection with truth of your spirit and the inspiration of your soul.

For this retreat, we will be nestled in the heart of one of my very favorite places on Earth... the Columbia Gorge! This beautiful, secluded lodge overlooks 40 acres of forest right off the Columbia River in Washington. Here, we will gather for meditation, yoga, guided forest bathing, crystal sound bowl healing, fireside gatherings, and ceremonial activities. In an intimate group of women, we will connect in spirit with each other as we open to and navigate the wild forest of our inner landscape.

An adventure awaits for those who feel called!

This spacious and newly renovated Rustic-Scandanavian style lodge has been artfully crafted inviting each person who steps into feel cozy and inspired all at the same time. With views of the river and surrounded by old growth forest, you can't help but to settle into the quiet calm of your truth.

Featuring two large common areas with fireplaces, a beautiful kitchen, many places to lounge, a large deck, and a separate gathering space for yoga and ceremony, there is plenty of room for each person to have the retreat of their dreams.

Enjoy the hot tub, walk up to the tea house with views, or sit by the cozy fire pit under the stars. Just up the road are waterfalls and swim holes as well as more adventuring we will be sure to have together on this retreat!

Time takes on a different meaning out here. You feel yourself relax into a slower pace – into the here and now of birds singing and water flowing.

the Food

One of the ways we will be connecting with the wild is by eating foods sourced from the Earth close to where we are staying. The menu will be artfully curated by a local chef using locally grown fare, in addition to wild foraged food.

With over a decade's experience as a private chef, Kerry Jones is uniquely skilled at building vibrant color, sumptuous aroma, deep nutrient density, and exquisite taste into everything she prepares, Chef Kerry she creates  immersive experiences that enrich your senses and invite you into a deeper connection with the food and with your body.

Meals will be designed to accommodate the dietary needs of the group.

Katrina held beautiful space for retreat. The gathering allowed me the opportunity to remember what we all are truly in our authentic nature of self, with others, and with nature - Love. Throughout the retreat, I received numerous poetic messages from the Universe “the little moments are where curiosity and joy can be found.”  I am grateful for the gathering and look forward to another retreat!  - Melissa Guarin

the Questions

Where is the retreat?

It’s in Washougal, Washington, in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. The house is approximately 30 minutes from Portland. Exact location and address will be provided when booked.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Very likely! Please let us know your restrictions in advance and we will do our best. We will let you know if we are unable to for some reason.

Do I need to bring my own food?

All meals will be provided. If you snack between meals or will want something before morning practice, you may want to bring some items with you.

May I pick my roommate?

Yes, please let us know your preferred roommate on your retreat registration form.

Can I book a double occupancy space for only myself?

Yes. Select "Private Room" at checkout.

What should I pack for the retreat?

Bring a yoga mat and blanket, plus any props you like to use. Pack many layers of clothing, especially warmer items you can wear for early morning yoga (socks, blanket, etc). The days will probably be warm, while the nights cool. You will want comfy clothes that don’t restrict movement for yoga. No need to bring anything fancy. No need for make-up or hair products either. You will want to bring a light jacket/rain jacket depending on the weather. You may want to bring a swimsuit for an evening soak in the hot tub. If you plan on hiking you will also want to pack comfortable hiking shoes/boots that you have already broken in.

If I am new to yoga, can I do this retreat?

This yoga taught will be for all levels of yoga. Modifications will be provided, as needed.

What type of yoga will be taught?

The style of yoga taught is based in Forrest yoga, but is highly informed by the many teachers Katrina has had over the years. Expect a Hatha class that integrates some vinyasa and a lot of breath work, mindful movement, and spirit brightening.

Is anything not allowed at the retreat?

Hard alcohol and junk food. Please refrain from overuse of technology. This retreat is designed to let you unplug from the outside world. This is an opportunity to be free from the busyness of life for a couple of days. Take advantage of it. That being said, we understand that phones are often used for photo taking. If that is the case, please make sure it is in airplane mode. We want to protect the mindful space of those around you, in addition to your own.
